General Director of TEXO attended the International Workshop on FIDIC’s infrastructure in MEXICO and the Signing Ceremony between VNCC and DINVAI in Cuba

 

Recently, Mr. Do Quoc Huynh – Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Consultancy and Investment TEXO JSC has joined the Delegation of Vietnam Construction Consultant Association in Cuba from September 1 to September 12, 2019.

During the trip, on September 2, 2019, the Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Association between Vietnam Construction Consultancy Corporation – VNCC (Vietnam) and Dinvai Construcciones, SA (Cuba) was held in the headquarters of Dinvai Construcciones Company located on Havana – Cuba. Mr. Do Quoc Huynh and the Delegation attended this event.

In the hope of becoming strategic partners, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in term of market development, service consulting implementation (design, supervision, review, inspection) in Vietnam and Cuba ; personel and technical provision; sustainable relationships establishment as well as brand value improvement. Being the leading companies in the market, the cooperation between the two sides is expected to combine their strength, contributing to the development of the consultant supervision field  in Vietnam and Cuba.

From September 8 to September 10, 2019, the Delegation of Vietnam Construction Consultant Association, headed by Ms Nguyen Thi Duyen –  Chairman of Association, attended the Workshop on infrastructure, Annual Meeting 2019 and the Ceremony of International Association of Consulting Engineers – FIDIC in MEXICO.

In FIDIC International Infrastructure Workshop held this year, there were 43 speakers and 21discussion sessions on different topics: Leadership with digital technology innovation, The challenges faced in addressing needs associating with technical infrastructure, The challenges from the fact that the pace of progress in technology requires consultants, architects … to always keep up with innovations; The challenges in innovation and the role of technology in shopping; The future of leaders in the technology consulting industry (the vision and impact of technology) … During the seminars, the leaders of leading companies shared about their experiences, expertise and recommendations about how the engineering industry should deal with challenges.

FIDIC Annual Meeting 2019 (GAM 2019) took place in the afternoon of September 10 have reached agreement on many important issues: The 2018 meeting minutes in Berlin, The 2018-2019 financial and operational reports, The 2019-2020 financial and operational plan, the announcement of two newly elected members of the FIDIC Board of Directors, the election of the President and Vice President of FIDIC for the term 2019-2021 and plans to hold the 2020 annual conference in Geneva – Switzerland. At the conference, the new Chairman of FIDIC for the term 2019 – 2021, Mr. William Howard – USA deliver his inaugural address.

FIDIC Project Awards: At the FIDIC 2019 Awards Ceremony, The winning of Bach Dang Bridge – Hai Phong City Project implemented by TEDI Transport Design and Consultant Corporation along with the winning of other projects from the United States, China, Japan, Canada, and France. Mexico, Spain was witnessed by over 1,000 people including leaders, consultants … of FIDIC member national associations around the globe. At the awards ceremony, Mr Alain Bentejac –  Chairman of FIDIC and  Mr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE – CEO of FIDIC directly awarded the awards to VECAS and TEDI.

Winning the reward for two consecutive years 2018 – 2019is a great honor for the Association and TEDI. Bach Dang Bridge Project also won the first prize at the Design Quality contest organized by Vietnam Association of Construction Consultants in 2018 (VECAS AWARD 2018)

Inaddition, FIDIC has included Vietnam Association of Construction Consultants in the list of member associations of the year.
